Putting my foot down

So this is how it ends
I came in larger than life, but came out heartbroken
It's like a bad relationship
I keep giving, but you just too damn greedy
The joy has gone, only bitterness remains
I was brought up to be a good kid; learn hard, do the best, make it work
I played by all the rules
Drama after drama, I shrugged
Kept my focus, concentrating on my art
But man... you keep bringing me down
It's like I'm nothing
So like every girl that caught up in a bad relationship
The smart thing to do is to get out
I'm putting an end
Scared as hell, but I believe Jesus will take care the rest
